The Accessories Project

With a collective of scouts hunting for treasures around the world, The Accessories Project is set to open their retail website in 2015. For now however, TAP is more tangible in the form of a pop-up shop appearing within the new ‘Made by Melbourne’ design precinct the I had no idea even existed; but TAP makes it worth the hunt. They’ve curated a collection of contemporary jewellery (Leda Otto, Duffy, Lucia Odescalchi, Par Bleu, Dominique Lucas, Dark Mode 3, Daniela De Marchi), scarves (Silken Favours), grand headwear (Francesco Ballestrazzi, Eleonora Bruno) and other objet d’art from hot young creatives across mostly Italy, France and England which were sourced across Europe and America. Complementing that are archival and vintage accessories from Chanel, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin, Lacroix, Valentino and costume jewels by Elsa Schiaparelli. TAP’s pieces tend towards the eccentric, the embellished and the luxe. These are statements for the extravagant dresser in your life who looks beyond the label.

Preview The Accessories Project at 220 Spencer Street Melbourne (Upper West Side building – look for theMade Melbourne signs). Until Christmas at least.
