“I have released collections every season for 165 years.
My runway is 38 hectares wide.
My pieces have been forged by the world’s most prolific designer.
The House of Mother Nature.”
– if only The Royal Botanic Gardens could speak
The phrase ‘gilding the lily’ has never been more apt. Something even more sumptuous than nature’s bounty is coming to Melbourne’s beloved gardens next Thursday evening. The Royal Botanic Runway open-air fashion show will feature a quartet of spectacular Australian designers in Akira Isogawa, Aurelio Costarella, Collette Dinnigan and Martin Grant; all in aid of the garden’s precious Water Strategy Project.
This beautiful series of images has been created for the event which I’m convinced will be a highlight of the city’s Summer season. Uncover more details about the Royal Botanic Runway or book tickets by clicking here (tip: order a picnic box from Cafe Vue to get in the garden party spirit).
