Style Melbourne

It’s a Rapp (scarf)

Eloise Rapp is one multi-talented lass. She’s been flitting around Sydney and Tokyo as a textile and graphic designer, WGSN forecaster, fashion week writer and an art director for underground clubs. Now she’s back to Melbourne (planted in a Collingwood worker’s cottage to be exact) to launch her debut collection of designer Rapp silk scarves; ‘The Reckoning of Time’. Naturally this Renaissance woman designed Rapp’s new website and lookbook herself.

Eloise explains the scarf designs themselves are a homage to “ancient calenders and counting systems”. Perhaps akin to something archaeologists might unearth in Latin America or discover when dusting off the walls of an Anglo-Saxon era monastery. Indeed the collection’s title comes from a medieval monk’s writings on how they calculated time and seasons on Earth. You can find Rapp scarves at m.e & co and Monk House Design thus far. The lookbook below urges me to brush up on my scarf-styling skills asap.
