Exiperimental Collective

Last night, as part of L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s cultural program, the Ex[ie]perimental Collective launched their exhibition. It’s a first for curator Christina Exie, showcasing her work alongside fellow designers Helen Pappas, Emma Boseley, Katia Di Crescenzo and Kara Liu. All studied at RMIT, however the common subtle tread that ties each of the pieces on show is, according to Exie, “framing”. Putting a symbolic frame on the process of fashion design, works on display range from concepts and research to finished products.

If you have a spare five minutes do pop into the gallery at Level 1 at Von Haus. Ex[ie]perimental Collective is on until next Wednesday.
