Style Melbourne

The Design Files Open House

So when can I move in?

Lucy Feagins of uber-blog The Design Files – along with The Project Agency – has temporarily emptied out a Fitzroy residence to impart her own style of living.

Filling the space with art, stationery, furniture, textiles, books, food and all manner of desirable objects, much of it locally sourced , Lucy has created a dream home for the contemporary aesthete. Her style walks that tenuous balance between being inspirational, aspirational and accessible. Most importantly it’s all very livable.

I don’t want to give too much away as you really should visit anytime from Thursday December 1st to Sunday December 4th 10am – 5pm. But below are just a few covetables that caught my eye. Just about everything in the Design Files Open House is buyable too!

Dawn Tan’s works; a must for the kitchen.

Fresh florals by Melbourne artist Dane Lovett.

My absolute favourite thing; terrariums by Miniscapes.

By local furniture makers Jardan. They also have a brilliant (huge) couch upstairs that I will leave for you to discover.

Bedside table books.

Happy to have one of these appear in my driveway. The new Mini Cooper Coupe. First chance to see one in real life.

Emily Green necklaces. And a peek of a Stampel hanger; apparently I love everything they do.

Welcome home to The Design Files Open House at 40 Napier Street, Fitroy.

P.S. The house will transform into an online store from Monday 5th  to Sunday 18th December with delivery before Xmas.
