RAFW: Accessories in focus

Melbourne designers are appearing on the Australian fashion week runways with more frequency than ever before. Though some are unsung heroes; as the accessories labels that adorn mainline collections with the shoes, bags and jewellery that add the final flourish to the show. I’m already mad about Arnsdorf‘s envelope clutches and delicate metallic flats. While Owl of Eden draped their juicy jewels throughout Sabatini’s 20 year celebration show (and almost outshone the collection itself). And I almost forgot Alexandra Blak‘s always-awesome jewellery adding plastic-fantastic appeal to Christopher Dobosz’s showing.

Halsinky lent their stunning handmade wooden clutches to St Augustine Academy.

Tony Bianco continued his partnership with Alex Perry hooving models in much the same fashion as for Perry’s LMFF preview show earlier in the year.

And Drown‘s latest jewellery collection ‘Fragment’ was chosen by Subfusco to add an ethereal edge to their fashion week show.
