MLY Black Label Spring 2010

One

of the only things you can rely on in the ever evolving fashion industry is that black is always cool. Winter or summer, day or night, a black garment will always add a bit of chic, a bit of punk and a bit of lady to any outfit.

Melbourne’s Miss Lyndel Yeo has released her latest MLY Black Label Spring collection which presents a range of pieces that would be right at home in any Melbourne wardrobe. The collection pays close attention to the trends seen on catwalks all over the globe by including tailored, boy-ish, high waisted shorts teamed with gridiron-esque tops which are sure to bring out the tomboy in any girl.

However, the collection also strays down a different path. In a fashion era that values broad shoulders and trousers, the days of dressing like a typical lady have almost been forgotten. Miss Lyndel Yeo helps bring this more classically feminine look back onto the streets of Melbourne and into our wardrobes. The collection displays a range of gorgeous dresses and gowns that would be fitting on a Hollywood red carpet. The dresses all posses quite different personalities; some have fringed details and have a tribal feel while others have a layer of lace or silk trains. Amongst these styles is the Ocean Fringe Tail gown. This black silk gown is fit for the modern day Cinderella, comprising of a halter neck, open back, fringed bust and flowing train. It is an absolutely breath taking highlight of the MLY Black Label collection.
