Wayne Cooper Boutique re-launch

Wayne Cooper welcomed Melbourne back to the re-launch of his Chapel Street store last week. The designer braved our city’s rain to personally celebrate the opening among guests like dancer Ivy Heeney and Leisel Jones. Post-makeover, swathes of sheer fabric now en-robe the walls, mimicking the darling little ‘Tulle Overlay Sateen Dress’ in Cooper’s current range. Plush cream carpet – ripe for tired heels to sink into – and mirror-lined walls (though for the shy shopper like myself notably not inside the change rooms) are features of the boutique. Clothing racks are lined with lush touches of leather, velvet and a bulk of sexy black ruffles this season.
