LMFF Runway 4

Eight

amazing designers offered their finest, solid collections for the celebration of InStyle 10th Anniversary that evening. In the humid weather, participants were decked out in their best outfits to watch this new fashion revolution come alive.

Mimco opened the show with its treasured jewellery and bags wrapped and draped on each model. Each model was devoured in layers of assorted necklaces and arms covered in bracelets and bangles. Some necks were unseen with bold statement, art deco necklaces while others have five layers of chains dangling from their necks. An exquisite piece of jewellery was the layered and draped pearls that had shown multiple of different strands of pearls. Sling bags and fancy, chained bum bags were the ‘it’ bags for the show.

Lucette ‘wowed’ the audience with its collection with numerous leather pieces. The leather pieces with the combination of bold, statement shoulders were a sure winner for the show. Models wore tight leather panel pants or a fitted, leather skirt with a loose and slouchy top. There was a military feel to the collection with gold studs on dresses, military buttons and slouchy, sequined harem pants.

The brighter colours and sweet collection was offered by Obüs. The collection proves that winter can go without dark colours this year but instead with bright mixture of colours. The audience got the ‘little red riding hood’ feel from the red coats and cardigan that is teamed up with either a pinkish, chiffon blouse or dress. There were some chucky knits, floral blouses with multiple coloured socks walking down the runway.

Partying in the country with Arabella Ramsay is a must for this season. The collection had teamed short skirts, cropped jackets with suede ankle boots. There were synthetic-like leather overalls with an additional purple leather jacket. A stunning cream laced dress made its way down the runway followed by different style of leather jackets and a dotty, tier style skirt.

Playful and fun was what Gorman had shown the audience for her new collection. Yellow chunky knits with some added pom poms, an anchor sweater and nautical tops made it so sweet on the runway.

Stripes will never be out and Karen Walker made sure of it. Under the beige, military loose coats were stripy tops with ruffles or creased necks. A simple sleeveless, draped striped dress was perfect for an everyday wear. The formal look consists of beautiful, royal blue chiffon dresses with ruffle details draped on the dress or on the collar.

Manning Cartell made her collection edgy and electric and this had rocked the runway. It’s surely edgy when a leather dress is mixed with a hot pink, biker jacket. The collection has from a hot pink draped dress to a structural, shaped leather dress. Rock it out this season with a metallic silver statement shoulder dress or a matching jacket and pants.

Yeojin Bae is the epitome of classy, and here she offers her new collection with class that adds imaginative details. The silhouettes were divided into two pieces with heart-shaped necks and some with cap sleeves. The wool and nylon-lace dress was stunning along with the long draped jacket that is worn as a dress. The dresses in her collections are well fitted bottoms joined with a corset-like top, which looks breathable to be in.
