Lady ‘Spring has Sprung’ launch

Somewhere tucked in a little laneway lies a little shop, a teeny boutique hugged closely by the stores adjoining it. All is cute in this place: from the satiny purple dresses hanging from the ceiling, to the girlish art drawn on the walls. Welcome to the loveliness of Lady.

To celebrate their website launch and the Spring fashion season, the folk at Lady put on a special sale night replete with Tic-Tocs, Iced Vo-Vos, fairy bread and raspberry-spiked Champagne. Happy fashion students circled the limited space and tried on the dresses, while I agonized over which colour hat better went with my hair.

Lady’s house brand impressed the crowd; perfect for the racing season with lavender frills and generously floaty cuts. Also on the shelves were other cute Australian labels My Pet Square and I Heard They Eat Cigarettes, all complemented by a range of fancy shoes and charming hats. The staff and manager happily slid around, helping people with their choices, making small talk and giving insight into what makes Lady so unique.

Since moving into the CBD from their old base in Armadale, Lady has been getting a reputation of holding events whenever they find a good reason; keep an ear out around Flinders Lane for the next one. Lady has also launched their new website so you can now shop from home too –
