Dilia Ew is the designer behind the new eponymous fashion label stylised as “Di-lia” (the hyphen is a metaphorical bridge towards her future). The first collection titled ‘The Rendering Graphics’ come from a reoccurring dream Dilia experienced in which she walks through misty woodland. The colours in the range – such as earthy camel and lake blue – are drawn from this vision. With an overall sleekness and polish, Dilia’s debut is chock full of blogger “outfit post” bait: press stud closures, leather accents, peek-a-boo plastic panels and a neutral block palette complimenting by icy blue. The ‘Brace’ wool coat is a highlight piece and I certainly wouldn’t mind if the leather ‘linear contrast’ pencil skirt came to visit my own wardrobe. What do you think of this promising young label?
