Diary | Seasonal Delights | Melbourne Fashion Festival

Aaizel

Artist and food designer Ryan Foote (his clients include Chanel and fashion weeks around the nation), recently invited me to contribute to his new project ‘Seasonal Delights; Consumption of Trends and Worlds Around Us‘ for the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival. Now, it’s my pleasure to invite you to see the results!

This intimate photographic exhibition was created alongside prominent Melbourne stylist Emily Ward (The Age, Culture mag, Royal Botanic Runway) and talented local photographer Stu Morley. Ryan has dreamt up six inventive food dishes inspired by the line-up of designers I curated; Limedrop, Neo Dia, VAMFF/Tiffany & Co. Designer Award nominee Kathryn Beker, Project Runway Australia winner Christina Exie, Tettmann.Doust and Aaizel. The aim is to see how food, fashion and other creative realms can influence each other and display complementary trends.

Come see Seasonal Delights on Saturday 15th or Sunday 16th March from 12-5pm. Find the exhibition at Macquarie Street Studio, 24 Macquarie Street, Prahran (just off Chapel St). Admission is free. Image: Aaizel ‘Mimicry Complex’ transeasonal 2014
