Halloween fashion shoot for Chapel Street Precinct

“In the regular world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In girl world, Halloween is the one night a year when girls can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it. The hardcore girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears.” – the never-ending wisdom of Mean Girls

This new editorial is certainly not about Halloween costumes, but rather getting into the macabre spirit of the season by letting out your inner kook. It might just be my favourite shoot to have styled to date; hard to choose just a few offbeat images to show you! So nice to work with Australian labels like Alpha 60, Fat, Nique and Mossman and a wonderful little jewellery store called Palm Beads among others. I also adore the Wittner snow leopard print pumps we included and plan to add them to my own collection asap. Thanks to 35mm Fashion Photography, make up artist Trish Sousa, Sheridan from Giant Management (who let us turn her hair temporarily pink!), shoot assistant Tijana Heathcote and to our quirky location Pawn & Co.

This is just a tease. See the full ‘Black Magic Woman’ fashion editorial here.

P.S. Have you seen the amazing ‘Spookbook’ Halloween fashion contest Lookbook runs each October? Hopefully our shoot inspires you to enter.
