Adrian Bressanutti | The Winter Blossom | Autumn Winter 2014

Adrian Bressanutti Autumn Winter 2014 fashion collection

Recently scientists regrew an extinct plant called Silene stenophylla. The seed of this delicate white flower  had been buried in Siberia for over 30,00o years during the Ice Age. I thought that was a lovely story. And it reminds me of Adrian Bressanutti‘s debut collection ‘The Winter Blossom’ which holds just-as-romantic notions aloft.

At the launch last week, Adrian’s snowy designs hung like spectres from the rafters of a Prahran warehouse. The Whitehouse graduate – who has since smartly interned with Akira Isogawa – favours subtlety. The collection relies on woolly felts, demure lines and embroidered blooms. Many pieces are lined with antique-style floral prints; for only the wearer to enjoy (just like spring flowers hibernating under a layer of snow if you want to get poetic about it). Pre-sale is now open. Do keep an eye out for Adrian Bressanutti next season.
