The next best thing to Safari

The tribal trend has been recurring for the past few seasons. And I do love a touch of animal print. Especially when it’s still on the animal. One of my dreams is to go on a safari one day, but that will have to wait until I can afford to do it in luxurious style. Until then, Rhythm of Africa celebrates all things safari with a weekend concert series throughout February, Pack a picnic, stroll (or bus) by hippo, cheetah, rhino and zebra habitats, then settle back on the lawn to listen to some Afro-inspired sounds. There’s pretty beads to buy to support wildlife. You may even feel the urge to learn dance, drumming or have your hair braided.

Rhythm of Africa is on each Saturday and Sunday evening at Werribee Open Range Zoo. Details/tickets here.
