Win tickets to Tailoring Tomorrow

Sustainable style bible Peppermint magazine has joined hands with Billy Blue College of Design to present Tailoring Tomorrow. The event discusses skills and ideas for designers and future graduates to make their creations sustainable and ethical in practical ways.

Sharing their wisdom will be designers from ethical fashion labels Alas (sleepwear), Sosume (organic basics) and Rachel Cassar (high end/couture) as well as representatives from TFIA’s Textile and Fashion Hub and Ethical Clothing Australia. Tailoring Tomorrow will also host a mini fashion and fabric market and offer local organic canapés and cocktails. It’s happening from 6-10pm on Thursday Jan 17th at Donkey Wheel House, 673 Bourke St, Melbourne. You can purchase tickets here and half the ticket price will go to Kiva, a micro-lending charity.

Thanks to Peppermint magazine I have a double pass to giveaway to Tailoring Tomorrow. All you have to do to win is;

1. Leave a comment below letting me know why you’d like to attend the event. You can be as serious or as silly as you like.

2. Make sure to include your email address when entering (not shown). It will only be used to contact the winner/no nefarious spamming schemes here.

3. The winner will be drawn and notified by 12pm Tuesday 15th January 2012.

    In 2013 I’d like to add a sustainable range of products to my online kids clothing store and I’d love to attend to get the creative ideas flowing!

    I want to attend because I am interested in events, fashion and design. So this seems like a good opportunity to meet like minded people.
