Hardwick ‘Range 2’ A/W 2013

Last week I stepped into Hardwick‘s sun-dappled Brunswick atelier to preview the second collection from the burgeoning ready-to-wear label. After a successful début last Spring Rebekah Hardwick (who oversees the range alongside co-conspirator Annaliese Bridgeman), says launching the label was something of “an indulgence”. One that looks to pay off as season two expands with a more extensive selection of leather cut to look like lace, actual, sheer lace and extravagant crows’ feathered pieces interspersed with basics like sloppy joes, leggings and tanks.

One opulent gold sequin-laden skirt has already found its way into an astrological editorial spread that caught my eye as styled by Elaine Marshall. I’m already planning wicked things to do with its twin in gunmetal as well as a few of the light lingerie-esque designs.

Expect Hardwick ‘Range 2’ pieces to arrive on shelves around April.
