Stakes Day at Flemington’s Spring Racing Carnival is all about winding down. It’s a little more casual than the other three days in tone and fashion. So happy to survive the week relatively unscathed. My Stakes Day in the Birdcage was filled with confetti, beach balls and tropical pineapples so I wanted to wear something festively bright, cool and – at this stage of the carnival – utterly comfortable.
