Collette Dinnigan hits the High Street

Collette Dinnigan’s presence is once again felt in Melbourne as she re-established a local shop front in High Street, Armadale this week. Guests, including actress Miranda Otto, were surrounded by the label’s lace and beaded designs to toast the launch. Tutus were not an uncommon sight either as, following on from the NGV exhibition I shared with you earlier, Collette has partnered with the Australian Ballet on a special project. This collaboration has allowed the designer access to the most expensive dancer’s tutu in the Australian Ballet’s collection; which is presently installed in her new boutique’s window suspended by flower-laden vines.
