The latest from Tsen

Hawthorn independent fashion boutique Swoon was taken over last week for a private showing of Adam Tsen’s latest collection for his self-titled label Tsen. Alongside the mainline collection, was a capsule range of super limited edition pieces; “designs I just needed to get out of my head” explained Adam.

To my eye the second collection in particular was sports luxe goes gothic. Printed fabric sourced from Galliano seemed sporty when added as feature sleeves while jersey, mesh and neoprene fabrics emphasised the look. A mirrored breastplate mimicked the shape of a gridiron player’s exaggerated shoulder pads while the highlight for me was a sheer white peplum dress stiffened into a mesh overlay. From Tsen’s mainline filled with sculptural black layered designs, a shell top encased in layers of silk that you could wear any which way was a standout.
