Ahead of Gorman‘s appearance on the MSFW catwalk this evening I made flying visit to the launch of the label’s collaboration with sculptor and painter Rhys Lee. Designer Lisa Gorman said that she and the artist had discussed working together for many years (having been good friends for “over a decade”) but that Rhys had never wanted to “succumb” to fashion before. The lady finally got her way with Rhys’ work appearing on 21 limited edition pieces. The painterly prints featuring raindrops, handprints and odd creatures are a might cheerier than his usual surreal works. I don’t want to reveal all that I’ll be showing you on the models tonight, but here’s a peek. Everyone is going a little nuts over a certain festive jumpsuit!
