Below are a few of my favourite moments from last week’s Spring Fashion Runway. Presented by Stonnington, the ornate Malvern Town Hall was bathed in a brilliant sea of blue light for the occasion. As the first major fashion event in Melbourne for the Spring Summer season it was a refined warm-up for Melbourne Spring Fashion Week. I’m always a fan of a dramatic floral headpiece (thank you Lana Del Rey for bringing those back) so will take any excuse to share them with you. Nicolangela’s rainbow water-coloured designs also made an impact, alongside Craig Braybrook’s immaculately tailored gowns. I was also pleased to watch Tettmann.Doust named as Emerging Designer this year; their science-inspired prints in silk and leather appeal to the secret nerd in me.
