Nevenka has launched a new design competition that I had to share with you as the concept is just too darn cute. Their ‘For the love of Stella’ competition invites everyone to draw, sketch, paint or generally somehow create an original design featuring Nevenka designer Rosemary Masic’s dog Stella. Stella is to be the muse for the label’s Autumn Winter 2013 collection entitled ‘Modern Nomad’ and the winning design is to be featured heavily within it.
To assist you Nevenka lets us in on a little bit more about the collection; ‘Modern Nomad mixes masculine with feminine in a more serious approach to tailoring in heavy wool tweeds, silk velvets and organza. Whimsical silk is toughened up with texture and quilting. Designer Rosemary Masic has made Stella her spirited and much loved dog the shining star of the collection. Masic said, “I wanted to incorporate her character into my work. It made complete sense to feature Stella in the collection. I wanted the collection to have a soul and come to life outside of the fashion world”.’
This winner’s prize includes;
- A piece of knitwear of their choice from the Nevenka AW13 collection featuring the winning design
- An invitation to the AW13 photoshoot to meet designer Rosemary Masic and Harper’s Bazaar contributing editor and stylist Claudia Navone
- Credit for the design and media exposure
- Two tickets to Nevenka’s runway show at next year’s L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival
To be in the running, simply email your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org or post to PO Box 2227, Fitzroy, 3065 The competition closes 4pm Friday the 22nd June 2012.Tags: melbourne fashion, nevenka
