Rebecca Tilley has launched Quella, her new label encompassing ”affordable luxury” pieces she hopes will be ”beautifully everlasting”. I suspect she’s already on her way to creating a new Australian jewellery heritage with Quella’s striking-yet-feminine pieces. Ten original designs veer between antique-feel oxidised and high-sheen golds, the latter inspired by costume jewellery from the 80′s and 90′s. Further inspiration is drawn from Rebecca’s travels through Europe; particularly graphics gleaned from the gardens, cobblestones and gothic architecture of Paris. Androgynous Melbourne model Andrej Pejic was adorned with a few Quella pieces for a (freaking gorgeous) Black magazine shoot, of which I recently gave you a behind the scenes look here.
The Quella label also includes a limited collection of hand-picked premium jewels to complement the unique designs. Covetable pieces by major design houses like Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, Oscar De La Renta and a “1980′s Yves Saint Laurent bangle that once marched down the Paris fashion runways”, were sourced from the four fashion capitals. Some are even one of a kind.
Next up for Quella? Rebecca reveals, “I want to work more with big stones”.

I love love the jewellery! Different and divine. Kx
I think my favourite might be the Didier necklace – the one that Andrej Pejic wears in our BTS coverage.
