Kookai “Hotel Particulier – Somewhere in Paris” Winter 2012

Kookai revealed their Winter collection earlier this month, once again revisiting the French inspiration that provided the spark for the label’s beginning. The range is titled “Hotel Particulier” in ode to the charmingly peculiar place the Kookai’s founders stayed in (unbeknownst to them, the hotel was infamous for hosting ladies of the night) decades ago in Paris. It’s taken me a little while to publish this collection as I’m currently typing from a hotel room of my very own (though it’s surrounded by infinitely more sand and less good bread than the aforementioned Parisian hostel). So while I enjoy a retreat, I thought you might escape the daily grind amid the furs (faux), touches of leather and accents of crayon colour in Kookai’s street style offering below…
