Lookbook: Megan Park Winter 2012

The colour palette for Megan Park’s Winter 2012 collection is decidedly moody; all smoky quart, moonlight, grape, jet black punctuated with saffron. It’s a good foundation for more adventurous prints than the label is accustomed to. Moving away from screen printing by hand, this season prints are digital derived from scans of Megan’s own archived embroidery combined with paintwork. As winter progresses, the collection moves towards knits, noir sequins and dark oxidised metal accents sprinkled with swarovski and quartz-laden embroidery. And it’s fitting for a line that has for so long made a feature of beadwork and embellishment that jewellery is becoming an integral feature of Megan Park’s design ethos.
