LMFF: Runway 5

At Runway 5 of the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, Joveeba came over all cowboys and Indians presenting Navajo knits, fringed leather and feathered accessories. Rodeo Show looked to another heritage era with white lace and nanna-esque florals. A combination of the prior two and sticking closer to home was Shona Joy with a ‘sunburnt country’ colour palette, faded florals and even the odd Akubra. Not too sure about Talulah’s patchwork pieces, yet could easily find space in my wardrobe for one of their easy, breezy printed skirt dresses. Wayne Cooper channelled a simplified version of Miami in the 70’s with fab frocks-a-plenty. Personally White Suede was the stand-out. Saturated desert prints accompanied pops of citrus and blocks of wine, white and peach. Overall, it was ‘a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll’ runway show if there ever was one.

I loved White Suede at Runway 5. Which label can’t you wait to wear?
