Summers Past

Photographic exhibition Summers Past: Golden Days in the Sun 1950 -1970 will cause visitors waves of nostalgia. Australian News and Information Bureau photographers captured what we now see as an era that was carefree, happy-go-lucky, a time when being slathered in coconut oil was more important than remembering your all-important SPF. There will be much ice-cream, vintage swimwear and reminiscing for imagined summers lost.

Let’s go on a roadtrip this summer shall we?

The Summers Past exhibition is on at Victorian Archives Centre, 99 Shiel Street, North Melbourne opening today. Admission is free.
