Summer Dance

The next instalment of stylist Stevie Dance’s ‘Best Dressed’ project for Melbourne’s GPO is imminent.

The high summer campaign – to be released this Friday – stars model Jess Gold (fresh from editorials in Surface and W magazines) and is shot by photographer Will Davidson. The beauty look is courtesy Justine Purdue who recently contributed to that historic Robyn Lawley Vogue editorial.

Speaking of beauty, I plan on stealing the “60s” hair from this shoot asap. As Dance describes the look; “Think kitsch, fun, loud prints, cat eye sunglasses and your hair piled on-top of your head.” Definitely do-able for this weekend.

I also like her other sporty, minimal reference point for our summer looks, “wet hair, a cut-out dress, a tonal colour palette and not much else.” So stealing this one too. Thanks Stevie!

Here is your sneak peek from behind the scenes on set at the GPO.

Your knowledge regarding what’s going on with style in Melbourne is fabulous! It would have been very exciting at GPO photo shoot. My favourite look is the baby blue white laced dress. One word-Gorgeous!

Thanks for the kind words Suzi.

I tend to find fashion shoots are very long and very slow, definitely not like the “work it baby, work it” atmosphere you see in films. I still find them fascinating though!
