“You are invited…” To me, those are possibly the three sweetest words in the English language.
When what follows involves proper champagne and the name that almost single-handedly gave a certain section of historic Collins Street a nickname of ‘the Paris end’ you tend to R.S.V.P. (a.s.a.p.)
Though no longer situated on Collins Street – and never having been anywhere near Paris – South Yarra boutique Le Louvre and their friends at champagne house Laurent-Perrier threw a celebratory soiree fit for Marie Antoinette last week… that is if she the queen happened to be a fan of the spring racing carnival.
Here’s a peek at the fashionable spring races-tinged festivities put hosted by Le Louvre owner Georgina Weir and the French sparkling house.
Visit a much-closer-to-home Le Louvre at 2 Daly Street, South Yarra. And, I guess, drink Laurent Perrier anywhere you feel like.

This bottle is better dressed than I am 99% of the time.
