Style Melbourne

Welcome to Prussia

Melbourne designer Jasmina Mili has debuted her label Prussia with the new line’s first collection for Autumn/Winter 2011. The range presents a black brigade of minimalism that would almost qualify as austere if not for the titillation of peek-a-boo lace and the utilisation of x-marks-the-spot modesty tape. Cigarette pants, streamlined catsuits, slouchy jumpsuits and the soft silhouette of un-tailored overcoats – in velvet and the aforementioned sheer lace – speak to the label’s Eastern European-derived name filtered through the distinctly youthful Melbourne underground. I think Prussia’s first collection would suit a modern Marlene¬†Dietrich.

  1. Great edgy/minimalist range with some gorgeous lace pieces, Jasmina herself is a total sweetheart as well!
