RAFW: Arnsdorf Tresses

Jade Sarita Arnott’s label Arnsdorf was the first of the Melbourne labels to hit the official runway at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. The collection, which possessed a resort vibe, was defined by Indian-style tunic shapes and Arnsdorf’s signature shirt-dressing. Tropical paradise hues of iced mint and fuschia punctuated crisp whites and black. The beauty look, directed by Richard Kavanagh for Redken, needed to be suitably cool, effortless and according to Kavanagh “quirky, fun and youthful.”

The hairstyle created was essentially a chignon featuring a sideswept fringe, with the crown and temples subtly teased out. It’s a relaxed, wispy look that combines wet and dry styles as if you have been venturing in steamy, exotic locales and are carefree about becoming a little undone.

Key Redken products to recreate the Arnsdorf runway look: Full Effect 04 (to thicken locks), Wool Shake (to impart texture) and Forceful 23 (for hold).
