Fashion supports Tracky Dack Day

Now here’s a fashion term I never thought I’d write here. Next to thongs and Ed Hardy tees, tracksuit pants are probably the furthest item of clothing from haute couture (and so help you if they have ‘Juicy’ printed on your behind). The only things they are good for are lounging around at home and actually running track. Actually I’ve recently discovered a third good thing; Tracky Dack Day on July 1st! A day when we can all legitimately sport our comfiest pair of pants out of the house and in return donate to TLC for Kids – a cause which provides cheer for kids undergoing medical care.

If you simply can’t bear it, Fashion supports Tracky Dack Day is a more stylish way to get involved. From 6pm on Thursday 9th June 2011, the rooftop of the Whitehouse Institute of Design in Melbourne (672 Bourke Street, Melbourne) will host a glittering cocktail soiree and fashion show. The event will be hosted by Sarah Gale (love) and styled by Philip Boon (love). Designers putting the spotlight on Tracky Dacks will be LifewithBird, Ellery, Neo Dia, J’Aton, Dhini, Trimapee, Lui Hon, Alpha60, Carla Zampatti, Aurelio Costarella, Jenny Bannister, Anthony Capon of a.concept, Clarence Chai, Extinct and Rachel Gilbert (love, love and love). Plus Georgia Sinclair will DJ the affair.

Tickets are only $40 and you can secure yours by clicking here.
