Floriferous fashion

Florals are so hot(house) right now. Last week I found myself surrounded by green-thumbs rather than the usual glam set at a major event. The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show, held annually in the serene Carlton Gardens and sometime catwalk venue of the Royal Exhibition Buildings, still managed to plant a little style amid the petunias. RMIT’s Fashion, Architecture and Design students were set a task to create something within the theme ‘Floriferous’. Most of the often beautiful, sometimes deliciously creepy creations that follow are theirs along with a few interlopers who also had a fashionable eye.

These ingenious creatives take the floral trend to literal extremes. This is what I imagine would happen if Romance Was Born decided to become florists:
