The sun shone on Werribee Racecourse this past weekend as Country Racing returned for the first time in several years after a major redevelopment of the track. And so did racing style. Country racing’s version of Fashions on the Field hunts for the best dressed ladies over the racing seasons.
Offstage the dresscode for the country races is more relaxed as is the atmosphere. Less crowding and less pressure to dress to the nines sees racegoers run the spectrum from country casual to strictly frocks and fascinators-only.
