Owl of Eden Launch

Owl of Eden jewellery designer Louisa Smeeton welcomed us into her black-chain draped boutique last night to view her latest wares. The label, which is already a couple of years old, opened their first concept store this year (the label has also been spotted at boutiques like Tilkah).

I’ve been an Owl of Eden fan since I was first introduced to their pieces a while ago, particularly of Louisa’s ‘Gypsy Dance’ range which features Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, coloured rope in rich juicy colours like fuchsia, lilac and turquoise, and heavy duty metal hardware. The look is bold without being obnoxious.

The store and surrounding soiree did the exotic pieces justice. Sprawling out into the lane, living palm trees, gold lounges and guests were bathed in violet light, giving off the impression of a balmy evening in Marrakech (I wish; will just have to settle for these pretty babies instead).
