Daydream Lily for Element Eden

I’m not sure if you’re as precious with your chosen blog reader as I am? It takes A LOT for me to bestow a “follow” on note-worthy bloggers. Generally they have to be unique, original and transport me somewhere else in my mind. One of my favourite blogs, of the relatively very few I follow daily, is the drop dead gorgeousness of Daydream Lily. Liss Winnel is the mastermind behind the blog obsessed with dreamy photography and ethereal design. If you are also a fan you probably know she recently collaborated on a fashion collection with Element Eden.

As part of a three stop launch tour of the east coast, Liss recently returned to her hometown Melbourne to showcase the ‘Inspired by Daydream Lily’ collection at Sister Bella. Over a few slices of pizza I discovered how the collection came about. Element Eden is essentially the feminine side of Element skatewear (who knew that such sugar and spice could come from snails and puppy dogs tails?). The Element Eden designers have long been fans of the Daydream Lily aesthetic, so it was only fitting they take advantage of Liss’ obvious eye for folksy, girlie style. Rather than designing for herself or designing what she would like to see other ladies wear, Liss says the collection is directly influenced by her blog itself. There simply had to be lace, the Daydream Lily cross-stitched heart motif and Liss really wanted there to be some form of illustration included (which brought about the carousel horse imagery).

My favourite piece is the ‘Petunia’ grey marle printed tee – I imagine wearing that all summer holiday long. The ‘Bluebell’ shorts are also adorable (though I do not have the legs). Check out the entire collection and some shots from the Melbourne launch below…

PS Seeds are probably the nicest goodie bag item ever.
