“Thank heaven for little girls…without them, what would little boys do?”
The latest collection from Chitra’s Closet reveals its Gallic leanings as soon as you learn the title is “Mademoiselle”. Vignettes from acclaimed 1950′s film “Gigi” punctuated the catwalk as Chitra’s fancy ladies strolled through “Gay Paree” with frilly umbrellas and spectacular feathered hats by Kim Fletcher on show. Silhouettes are empire line, while coloured lining adds a sumptuous touch and unexpected pop of colour. Personal highlights from the collection included a spotted, frill-trimmed blouse and a satin opera jacket.

The designer also gave us a peek at “Pink Martini” her A/W range for 2011. Think Bond girls of the 60′s with oversized sunglasses and silk head scarves just waiting to be blown away while zooming along in a classic convertible.
