You know how they match beer and cheese, or food and wine, even tea and chocolate? Well I’m starting a new little semi-regular section for a weekend called Drink This + Dress in That. Combining a love of being a barfly with love for a new sartorial find, I’ll be pairing a fabulous drink from a Melbourne bar with a fashion item inspired by the concoction. Hopefully providing you with some inspiration on what to wear and where to go in Melbourne this weekend…
Drink This: Tres Mujeres (Jose Cuervo tequila, tomato consomme & nam jim “roe”) by Scott Reed Collins Quarter. This subtly spicy drink was judged second in Australia at the World Class cocktail competition during the the Sangrita (not to be confused with that other famous Mexican drink ,”Sangria”) round. This is tequila for sipping not shooting.
