Style Melbourne

Blossoms, blooms & beauties…

I find yet further Spring Carnival racewear inspiration from this show. Styled by Philip Boon, the runway featured two of my favourite models of the moment Kate Peck and Alice Burdeu. According to this showcase, it seems there is no middle ground trackside¬†when it comes to style this season. Prints are key; just about any will do but avoid the obvious tizzy florals. When you opt for block colour go for the extremes. Either primary, bright and bold in yellow, blues and reds or cool and chic in white or champagne. Also, don’t be afraid of clashing accessories – it can elevate your look from just “meh” to fashions on the field worthy.

Hi, I was at Cox Plate on the weekend and noticed an interesting trend towards temporary tattoos, not tacky ones you find inside bubble gum wrappers but jewellery inspired ones – they were gorgeous!! I asked one girl who was wearing them as a bracelet where she got them and she said they were from BodyArt Fashion in Melbourne.
I’m going to google them but wondered if anyone else had noticed these??

  2. Hi Karen. I think there are some nice faux tattoos around but I actually think the ones you “spotted” are quite tacky.
