Feeling comfortable isn’t an alien concept at Fashion Week for me. I’ve done it so many times and I’m surrounded by so many friends and colleagues that I don’t feel out of place anymore. I’ve worked super hard for a long time to find my place. That level of comfort sometimes has to extend to the clothes too. When I know I’m having a loooooong day as per the nautical outfit below (for MSFW Thursday when I had at least five shows on including Melbourne’s GPO’s fabulous three) or with the relaxed safari-ish style for (MSFW Saturday when I had had enough of the week and knew that everyone at RMIT show would be wearing black layers and wanted to buck the trend) comfort is key.
All you need to know is that pockets in skirts are both handy and awesome, summer wedges rule after teetering around on stiletto heels all week and – forget diamonds – a furry assistant editor is the best accessory a girl can have.
