Miss Lyndel Yeo let loose an animalistic Melbourne Spring Fashion Week parade last night as she celebrated her label’s 5th birthday with a review of her mainline and MLY Black Label collections for Spring 2010.
Her signature unusual shapes (high waists, extended shoulder-lines, cropped tops and dramatic trains) return along with a hint of animal print, even more tribal print and fringing. A pop of lemon sorbet, fairy floss pink, tiered frills and oversized bows at the bodice ensured an element of girlish fun. While feathered, exotic floral and chain details added a balanced edge to the styling of the collections. A slash of bright pink across the models eyes re-enforced the “wild things” notion.
