Jeans for Genes Day at Silk Road

It was a case of denim vs. silk as Jeans for Genes Day invaded Melbourne’s opulent Silk Road last night. LA label Gridlock denim launched into Australia with an Americana-tinged runway parade. Think big, blonde, Southern-style hair, the stars and stripes and an unabashed attitude. California Gurls indeed. Gridlock’s jeans feature detachable back pockets that can be removed and exchanged to customise the wearer’s look in just a zip. A pop-up shop featuring Gridlock designs has been set up at 1 Earl Street, Windsor from now until Monday 16th August.

Jeans for Genes Day is an annual event which raises funds for the important research that CMRI undertakes into genetic disease in kids.
