Bloom Organics Launch

Last night, Natalie Bloom invited us into her Chapel street flagship store to introduce her latest range of Organics beauty products. Piles of soaps, balms, washes and essential oils greeted us along with their earthy scents. The Rosehip Oil (intended as a moisturiser and antioxidant treatment for the face or skin) has fast become the starring item in the Organics lineup, however Natalie selects the All-Purpose Body Balm – made up of cocoa and shea butters and essential oils like ylang ylang – as her personal favourite.

Sadly use of the term “organic” like the term “natural” is not yet regulated for beauty products in Australia but Natalie ensures all of Bloom’s organics items are made up at the very least of 80% organic ingredients. In fact most are over 95% organic as 17 of the 20 items are certified organic by our country’s largest certification body ACO. In supporting other things local and organic the Chapel Street store is also stocking the cult cleaning label Murchison Hume and scrummy chocolates and lollies from Organic Times.

Looking to the future “greening” of Bloom, Natalie says the implementation of a recycling program is in the works for later this year. In my future? Testing out their lovely rosehip oil and looking to a future where finding organic products on shelves is as natural as they are…
