The sophomore edition of the Spirit of the Black Dress launched with a gala opening – a tradition I hope will continue with a third round of ten designers! This year’s innovative batch of fashion creatives are Cheryl Chee, Melina Hollway, Maja Karlsen Mueller, Michelle Czech, Alexis Belcher, Oliver Wilkinson, Renee Bock, Shagun Maheshwari, Tia Carrigan and Melissa Mahony each presenting their take on the staple black dress.
If you missed the launch you may peruse the photographic exhibition of unique black gowns with eco-concious elements at Georges on Collins 195 Little Collins Street from 12pm to 6pm until the 21st March. The exhibition is free.
