The Take 2 Markets appear at Hawthorn Town Hall every alternate month. In March the market, which specialises in recycled clothing, was an official part of LMFF’s cultural program. As such they decided to put together an extra special parade entitled ‘Once Upon a Time’. The intimate parade hinted at what one can achieve with pre-loved fashion, imagination and a whole lot of personal style. Models appeared firstly in fairy tale inspired ensembles and then reemerged in a more modern take. After all what is fashion if not a trans-formative medium? This is even more apt with recycled fashion with the element of giving new life to pieces that could be consigned to the scrapheap.
The next Take 2 Market will be held on Saturday 17th April at 360 Burwood Road Hawthorn.
