Are
we suffering catwalk fatigue yet? It seems every nook and cranny (even nightclubs for better or worse) in the city has played host to at least one runway fashion parade. This over-abundance of shows means a fashion-savvy audience is hungry for a little extra from our shows, something offbeat. Standing out among the throng of runway parade events set to coincide with the upcoming Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival is sure to be Catwalk Theatre. This is not your average runway show – just check out their sultry poster. Instead expect lots of performance, dance and theatrics with your dose of fashion.
Designer Oscar Calvo is at the helm of a troupe of our favourite local labels; Made in Donald, Eva Q Design, Daniela Orlando, Ever Layne, Nikolina Concepts and the fantabulous WLG Metal Couture. Joining them are designs from Sally Jones, Fauve, Justine Davis, Antonia Paris, Lisa Maree, Paula Kyle Walden and Alexandra Harper. That line-up includes lovely lingerie, millinery, jewellery, urban wear and couture.
Get your jazz hands ready Melbourne! Catwalk Theatre will be on stage on Tuesday 9th March from 7pm to 9pm at BMW Edge at Federation Square in Melbourne. The after party will be held nearby at Beer Deluxe. Tickets are $40 each and can be purchased by clicking here or at the door if there are any left. Includes canapés, a Chambord cocktail on arrival and gift bags for the first 200 guests.
