One 
of the true highlights from Melbourne Spring Fashion Week 2009 was the Spirit of the Black Dress exhibition. I’m pleased to say the event will return on-schedule for the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival, opening on March 12th 2010 at Georges On Collins.
Right now, the organisers are calling on all emerging designers to create their ultimate black dress and vie for one of ten coveted final spots (as selected by celebrity fashion judges including Joe Saba). This year’s group of ten will again be shot by a talented photographer and put on display during the festival. The group will gain exposure for their label, be able to attend the lovely gala opening and have the chance to discuss their work with peers and the industry.
