Ah
summer. A time to wander through the soon to emerge Blackbird Summer Markets and scour stalls for independent, upcoming designer or vintage fashion. For Melbourne designers it is yet another chance to get your label out there and onto the bodies of stylish locals.
The inaugural Blackbird will be unveiled on Saturday 5th December from 11am until 4pm at the Workers’ Club (51 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy) and will then be a monthly market kinda deal. Designers who want to get in on it need to lock in their stall submissions before the 21st of November. But I wouldn’t wait that long as their small stalls and the space for jewellery labels are almost full up already. The flyer is adorable and the whole thing has Spook Mag‘s seal of approval so it’s probably going to be a rad little afternoon excursion!
