So it came down to this. The final five in Sportsgirl’s Search for a SuperStylist competition, Clare Byrne, Lauren Dietze, Hayley Hughes, Kate Stein and Lisa Twomey battled it out on stage after only a ten minute frantic search around the flagship store for pieces to create two original looks each. My style leaned towards Claire Byrne’s safari-chic look and her take on a nautical summer while I also liked Hayley Hughes styling an orange dress backwards to show off the more interesting details of the piece. The on-stage style-off was eventually won by Lisa Twomey with a Russian influenced look that the judges (including designer Kym Ellery and Grazia’s Anouk Colantoni) thought was very “editorial”. Lisa’s main influences are music and her grandmother which we’ll all get to see in an upcoming fashion spread in Sportsgirl’s mag.
